Mental fitness is just as important as physical fitness. We have all chosen a profession that exposes us to some of the most heinous acts a person can endure. We read about it, we listen to it, and sometimes we see the physical aspects. It is important to recognize that this work is hard. It is ok to admit the work is hard. The mental health component of Living Well is meant to provide you with information and resources for times when you need some extra support.

My goal is to join the Sacramento District Attorney’s office as a Courtroom Companion Canine. I hope to offer comfort to all members of the DA’s office and lift the spirits of those around me. Currently seeking a training position to acclimate to the office, new friends, and the court experience. Upon permanent placement with the Victim Witness Program, I plan to accompany victims and families to court to help them feel more at ease and comfortable.
