This workshop is designed for individuals who are exposed to traumatic material or situations while on the job, such as law enforcement officers, forensic analysts, prosecutors, and probation or parole professionals. The training is led by both a law enforcement professional and a mental health professional, creating an interactive and well-rounded learning experience.
Participants will learn about vicarious stress and trauma, as well as the impacts of repeated exposure to traumatic material. The session will provide strategies and tools to help develop resilience and mitigate the negative effects of this work. By attending, individuals will gain insights and skills that can strengthen their ability to perform their jobs effectively while also safeguarding their mental health.
